Summary
Playlearnia does not collect your data or your child's data. It has no account, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party SDKs. Everything the app stores stays on the device. The only network use is Apple's StoreKit, which handles purchases.
What stays on the device
- Play progress: which games were played, stars earned and cards unlocked, stored in the app's local database on the device.
- Settings: the chosen hero, sound and music switches, and the daily play-time limit.
- Play-time data: how long the app was used each day, kept on the device so the parent area can show progress and apply the optional daily limit.
- Parent PIN: a 6-digit PIN chosen by the parent. The app stores only a salted hash of it in the device Keychain, marked as available on this device only. The PIN itself is never stored and is never sent anywhere.
We have no copy of any of this and no way to read it. Deleting the app removes the app's data from the device. Keychain items can outlive an app on iOS, so if you reinstall, you may be asked for the earlier PIN; the in-app “Forgot PIN” option resets it.
Parent PIN and device authentication
If a parent forgets the PIN, the app asks iOS to confirm that the device owner is present, using Face ID, Touch ID or the device passcode. This check is performed by Apple's LocalAuthentication framework. Playlearnia only receives a yes or no answer. It never receives biometric data.
Purchases
Purchases and subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit. We receive no payment details, name or Apple ID. The app asks Apple whether the device is entitled to the paid content and which products are offered. Apple's own terms and privacy policy apply to that processing.
Network and third parties
Playlearnia contains no advertising, analytics, tracking or crash-reporting code from any third party, and it does not load content from our servers. We operate no server for the app. Narration, music, art and lessons are bundled inside the app.
Permissions
The app does not ask for camera, microphone, location, contacts, photo library or tracking permission.
Children
Playlearnia is made for children aged 3 to 8 and collects no personal information from anyone, including children. The parent area, the PIN and all purchases are meant for adults. Whether and how COPPA, GDPR-K or similar rules apply, and the App Store Kids Category requirements, are to be confirmed in legal review.
This website
playlearnia.com is a static website. It uses no cookies, no analytics, no trackers, no forms and no scripts. Our hosting provider may keep standard technical request logs (such as IP address and time) for security and operation.
If you write to us
If you email support@playlearnia.com (support, or to join the waitlist), we receive your email address and your message. We use them only to answer you or, for the waitlist, to tell you when the app is available. You can ask us to delete your message and address at any time. Please do not send children's names, photos or other personal details.
Your rights
Because the app keeps all data on the device and we hold no personal data about how it is used, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete except your own correspondence with us. Writing to support@playlearnia.com is enough to ask. Region-specific rights wording is to be added at legal review.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date above will change and material changes will be listed in the release notes.
